1 WEEK BACK

Raced down from #thenorth to the RD&E Hospital Exeter to have my left hand eye worked upon with surgery again. 8 years back - after putting the titanium within my skull, some of the facial muscles did not repair.

Hence - reworking, as my eye is starting to close as the facial muscles cannot keep it properly open. I want to be able to see well, but particularly when I am driving - with both eyes. Fingers crossed this will help immensely.
You are legally allowed to drive with only one eye. I worry too much - I don't think I could bear driving unless I know that I can see those small animals + small humans running into the road before accidentally hitting one.... because I didn't see them coming...

Anyway -
My surgery with both eyes
Under anaesthesia
With an airway tube
Boom Boom
No food after 12.00 the night before - surgery at 10.00...but only happened at 11.30...slightly starving!
All alone. Wondering a lot.

The FH went on a super morning out, to say hello to all those scrumptious #Humans that we miss....
After effects:
Cannot see well for 3 days with antihistamine cream that has to go inside the eye - it can literally drive you crazy...
Horrendous cramps in my right leg [anaesthesia]
Giddiness
Fatigue x 20
Confusion [bad]
REALLY itchy eyes! The stitches started to mend - shriek! Covered in gauze, which does not fall off...
Then? The front room in the #theArtHouse was about to be almost flattened...so we were racing back as fast as possible

But today some of that gauze came off [small attack with fingernails] so the first day that I could walk down to the pub and remain awake for longer than 2 hours was rather jolly. Excellent birthday drink down there!
